The Providence Bruins and Hershey Bears kicked off their second round playoff series on Saturday night in Providence.
The Bruins’ AHL affiliate got off to the right start in front of their home crowd, as they ended up beating the Bears 3-1, thanks to three first-period goals.
The Bruins scored two of their goals while they were shorthanded, and their third goal of the game was the nicest one of the night.
Bruins prospect Jake DeBrusk pulls off a nice move to walk right around the defenceman and then showed magnificent patience to put the puck past Pheonix Copley.
Through six playoff games this year, the AHL rookie has four goals and one assist.
