The Cleveland Browns have been the laughing stock of the NFL for quite some time now and the team’s most recent move is not going to help their reputation at all.

On Friday, the Browns did something that only they would be capable of doing.

The team announced they had released defensive back Tyvis Powell, a Bedford, Ohio native, on Friday afternoon. What they didn’t know, is that the Ohio State product was scheduled to throw out the first pitch at the Cleveland Indians game on Friday evening.

According to Cleveland.com’s Zack Meisel, the team was not aware of Powell’s plans for Friday night before they cut him.

It turns out the Indians still wanted the 23-year-old to throw out the first pitch, even though he’s no longer on the Browns.

The news kept getting worse for Powell, who then found out his scheduled first pitch might have to be postponed to a later date due to the weather.

Hopefully Powell gets a better end to his day and still gets to throw out the first pitch.
