New York Giants Brandon Marshall has played 167 regular season games in the NFL, and after every game, the receiver meets with a player from the opposing team to swap jerseys. He will also ask that player for an autograph on the jersey to add to his collection. That’s at least 167 jerseys in his collection, but we assume he has some from the pre-season as well.
On Monday, Marshall put a couple of videos of his jersey swap collection up on Instagram, and it might be the coolest collection of jerseys we’ve ever seen. Not only is it the coolest collection of jerseys, but also they’re all game-worn, signed jerseys.
We can spot a Randy Moss, Odell Beckham Jr., Calvin Johnson, Chris Carter, Ricky Williams, and Champ Bailey in the mix. It doesn’t get much more high profile than that.
Marshall goes on to show a video of the man helping him put up the jerseys (who doesn’t seem to know much about football), and discloses that some of Troy Polamalu’s hair came with his jersey swap.
A lot of players act too good or too professional for this type of thing, but when it’s all said and done and his career is over, we know Marshall is going to be glad he was a still a kid inside during his playing days and got jerseys of all his favourite players.
