When Phil Kessel was traded to Pittsburgh before the 2015-16 season, nobody in the world would have predicted he would be a two-time Stanley Cup champion two years later.
Sunday night, Kessel and the Penguins went back-to-back as they won the Cup for the second consecutive season.
In two postseason runs with the Penguins, Kessel has been a key contributor to say the least. The former Leaf finished with 23 points in 25 playoff games this time around after posting 22 points in 24 games last year.
There were a lot of incredible Kessel moments after the win, one of which included Evgeni Malkin, but perhaps the best one of the night occurred on the ice when the Penguins were celebrating their Cup win.
Is there anything better than 'Classic Phil?' We'll answer our own question with a picture, "No chance in hell."
Now, all that's left for Phil is to bring the Cup back to Toronto like he did last year.
The two-time champ brought the Cup to SickKids Hospital and visited patients and their families.
