Even though the New York Knicks don't have a team President at the moment, every basketball fan and analyst would probably agree they're in a better place now than they were with Phil Jackson.

The Knicks parted ways with Jackson Wednesday after signing him in 2014.

Jackson has been criticized for a number of things over the course of his time in New York, but between the drama with Carmelo Anthony and the trade rumours surrounding Kristaps Porzingis this offseason, it's easy to understand why the Knicks parted ways with Phil.

Many fans were very happy once the announcement was made, but Jackson's numbers in regards to money during his time in New York will turn those smiles into frowns.

All Knicks fans got out of those numbers was that Jackson made $50,000 a day in his time in New York doing an awful job running the team.

On the bright side, soon the Knicks will be paying someone not named Phil Jackson to run their team, but that doesn't mean their chances of making the playoffs for the first time since the 2012-13 will increase.
