The great thing about sports is there are no boundaries or borders.

Anyone, from anywhere can play in the pros or just for their own enjoyment with friends.

Opportunity, however, isn't universal.  Someone born in North America, for example, has a better opportunity of making it big in sports than someone born in Africa for a number of reasons.

That being said, even with the odds stacked against the young men from Africa, they've shown time and time again how to overcome the odds thanks to an unwavering spirit, hard work and dedication.

Raptors president Masai Ujiri has also helped the process with 'Giants of Africa,' a non-profit organization he founded in 2003.  Ujiri returns to Africa every summer to run development camps for players to help them develop their game so they can make it to the NBA.

Now, you can follow the journey of these players in the film titled 'Giants of Africa.'

Incredible to say the least.  Giants of Africa opens with Cineplex Event Cinema at Yonge and Dundas on April 7th"

Be sure to visit the Giants of Africa website for more info and the film and the foundation.
