We think hockey is one of, if not the most intense sport in the world and the preseason doesn't change that.
A ton is on the line during every preseason game as players are fighting to make rosters and being intense, hitting, fighting, blocking shots, and laying it all on the line could be the difference between starting the season in the NHL or elsewhere.
Antoine Roussel of the Dallas Stars doesn't have to worry about that (he's played 340 career NHL games, all with Dallas), but that didn't stop him from playing with intensity and nearly mixing things up with a Blues player Tuesday night.
We said nearly mixing things up for a reason, and although Roussel didn't fight anyone, he provided fans with an early candidate for GIF of the year.
In fact, the GIF is so good that the Stars are using it to respond to some of the haters on Twitter.
They also used their jumbotron to respond to Tony X, a huge Blues fan.
There's still some time before the regular season gets started, but boy, we're really excited.
