A pair of Vancouver Canucks fans took the hockey world by storm when they started showing up to games dressed as The Green Men. However, what some people don’t know is that they got their inspiration from 'It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia' character Charlie Kelly, played by Charlie Day, who busted out the green bodysuit for sporting events.
Day has blown up due to his role on 'It's Always Sunny' and has made his way onto the big screen. His latest film “Fist Fight”, which also stars Ice Cube and Tracy Morgan, is set to be released next weekend so he’s doing some promotions across North America. On Wednesday night, Day stopped in at the Arizona State Sun Devils basketball game and came out of the infamous Curtain of Distraction in his green bodysuit.
Day came through and did his job, as his distraction led to a missed free throw.
However, the California Golden Bears won the game 68-43, so they probably should have asked Day to stay out there the entire game.
