In a Jalen Ramsey-esque gesture, the former second overall pick of the Florida Panthers, Aleksander Barkov, took to Instagram to show that he’s not just a sniper on the ice, but also has some pretty sweet handles on the basketball court.

Barkov posted the video of him sinking three baskets in a row, with a caption wishing his fellow Floridians, the Miami Heat, luck ahead of their season opener against the Orlando Magic on Wednesday night. He also casually slid in that he’s available as a shooting guard if the position happened to be vacated.

The Magic take to the hardwood with their superstar, Dwyane Wade, for one final season, in hopes that their depth will be enough for back-to-back playoff berths, after losing to the 76ers in the first round last season.

While Barkov is playing it safe in keeping sharp at his backup sport, we think that the Finnish superstar can stick to his day job, as he’s started off this season strong with three goals and four points in Florida’s four games so far this season. The 23-year-old, who tallied two goals in the Panthers’ shootout loss to the Flyers last night, was named the team’s 10th captain in franchise history ahead of the 2018/2019 season. Though he’s one of the league’s most consistently underrated players, the elite forward as 331 NHL games under his belt. Last season, he tallied a career-high 78 points in 79 games played.
