Before Ryan Johansen was injured, all eyes were on him and Ryan Kesler during the Western Conference final.

After Game 2, Johansen called out Kesler and it didn't take long for the Ducks forward to respond.

The war of words off the ice led to a war of words on the ice, too.

Unfortunately, like we mentioned before, Johansen suffered a playoff-ending injury during the series and won't be able to help Nashville in the Stanley Cup final.

The #Predators will be without #Johansen for the remainder of the playoffs. . More on TSN.ca

Wednesday, Johansen was asked about his Kesler comments and here is what he told TSN Radio 1040 Vancouver:

"I really meant what I said," Johansen told TSN 1040. "I would never take back what I said. It’s just frustrating. Whether people think he’s doing a good job at what he does… I just don’t want to get into it again. What I said is what I meant. I’m just happy we were able to beat them, and I wish I could have been in line to shake their hands.”

Johansen made it very clear he doesn't regret what he said about Kesler and we're sure Kesler doesn't regret what he said or did in the series, either.

At the end of the day, although Johansen is injured, he still got the last laugh as his team has a chance to win the Cup while Kesler's doesn't.
