From a mental standpoint, golf is as tough as it gets. When you’re rolling, you’re rolling, but when things don’t go your way, It’s easy to let your emotions conquer all. That was at least the case for former Masters champion Sergio Garcia.

On the 4th hole at the Dell Technologies Championship, the Spaniard attempted a poor eagle putt which left him a ways away from the hole. Garcia responded by bending his putter, and by rule, he was not allowed to replace it. So on his birdie putt, the 37-year-old calmly stepped up to his ball and drained a beauty with his 3-wood.

No big deal, right?

The cherry on top is that the shot led to an extra $2000 donation to Hurricane Harvey relief. Garcia’s play predictably fell from there on out, as he finished the day at 4-over. He currently sits tied for 53rd at +2, while American Justin Thomas and Australian Marc Leishman share the lead at -12.

Garcia has evolved into one of the more animated golfers over the years, so this recent circus-like shot shouldn’t come as a surprise.

Well done, Serge.
