Texas Rangers third baseman has made quite the reputation for himself over his 20-year career.
Nearing in on the 3,000-hit plateau, Beltre moved within four hits of the mark on Wednesday night, but that’s as close as he would get before he was ejected from the game.
While waiting for his next at-bat, the five-time Gold Glove Award winner was asked to move back into the on-deck circle. Instead of moving forward a couple of steps, Beltre decided to have some fun and move the on-deck circle to him.
Clearly the umpire does not like jokes or enjoy having a laugh, so instead of playing along with the legendary third baseman he decided to toss him from the game altogether.
The Rangers were well behind in the game, as they ended up losing 22-10, so Beltre was just trying to loosen the mood for the fans who had to sit through the painful game.
