Sometimes there’s not a lot to do in baseball. We love the game and it’s a blast to play, but there’s no doubt that there is some serious down time as a player.
It allows for some of the funnier parts of baseball like pranks in the dugout, hidden ball tricks (It’s easy to lose focus if you get too comfortable) and plenty of fan interaction. Position players are plopped next to the same section of fans nine times a game and they can often get some familiarity with them. Most of the time, if it’s the opposing team it’s not too friendly, but one time in New York it was all laughs for Adam Jones.
While playing centre field, Jones got locked into a game of Rock, Paper, Scissors with a fan and ended up winning.
This may have been last week in New York, but could have been any time. Either way, Adam Jones has accepted the challenge for a second game.
This is definitely one of the more positive fan experiences Adam Jones has had in recent weeks.
