It’s still hard to believe that New York Yankees right fielder Aaron Judge was a rookie last season.
In 542 at-bats in 155 games, Judge hit a whopping 52 home runs and drove in 114 runs to go along with a .284 batting average and a .422 OBP.
Not only did he come out on top of nearly every offensive category for rookie hitters, the 25-year-old finished second in the entire league in home runs and walks (127), and also finished sixth in the league in RBI and second in the American League.
On Monday evening, MLB The Show unveiled the cover athlete for next year’s edition of the game and you can bet the man known as ‘All Rise’ is gracing the front cover.
It turns out Monday was a really good day for the youngster, as MLB also announced that he’s up for AL Rookie of the Year and AL MVP.
The scary thing is he’s just getting started.
