A sports artist created an incredible Brian Boyle mural in New York City

Brian Boyle received some tough news last month as he found out he had chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML), a form of blood and bone marrow cancer.

It’s been just over one month since the 11-year NHL veteran got the news and things are already looking brighter for Boyle as he was cleared to return to practice with his New Jersey Devils teammates earlier this week.

From the day the hockey community found out Boyle was diagnosed with cancer to the day the Devils announced he was cleared to practice with the team, the entire community has showed their support for the former first round draft pick.

One person who recently showed their support for Boyle in a creative way is sports artist Tony Capparelli, who painted an incredible mural in Boyle’s honour in New York City.

Boyle came across the mural on Twitter, and thanked Capparelli for the incredibly thoughtful gesture.
