Vince Carter did a good job all season long proving that he still has what it takes to play at the highest level.
Whether he was coming off the bench or playing 27-30 minutes a night, Carter did not show any signs of slowing down throughout the season.
Vince Carter turned 40-years-old this season and made it loud and clear that he was not going to be retiring after this season and he proved it on a nightly basis as he continued to throw down big dunks like he was 20-years-old all over again.
Meant to be a role player for the Grizzlies, Carter found himself in the middle of the action a lot throughout the Grizzlies’ first round matchup with the San Antonio Spurs.
In the six playoff games, Carter averaged 32.5 minutes per game, while scoring 9.2 points and adding 3.3 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game during that span. While his offensive production isn’t exactly what it used to be, the 8-time NBA All-Star still joined a pretty legendary list for his contributions in the postseason.
Kareem-Abdul Jabbar, John Stockton, Karl Malone and now Vince Carter. That’s a pretty solid list if you ask us.
