Not many former or current NBA players can say they played in the NBA past the age of 40, but Vince Carter is one of those few players. He needs to play in the NBA for another five years if he wants to go down as the oldest player to ever suit up, and at this point that’s definitely possible.

For most NBA players getting up there in age, they tend to find themselves coming off the bench and playing limited minutes on a nightly basis. However, Carter has averaged nearly 30 minutes a game over his past four games and isn’t showing any signs of slowing down just yet.

Carter’s point production is not what it used to be, but there’s one thing he can still do just like the best of them and that’s throw down massive slam dunks. Ahead of Tuesday night’s game in New Orleans, the 2000 NBA Slam Dunk Contest champion looked like a younger version of himself while he was getting loose for the game.

This has started to become a trend for the 8-time NBA All-Star, who is throwing down massive slams on a nightly basis.

Carter has already made it clear that he’s coming back next season, but hopefully there’s a few more seasons left in him than just one.
