You never know what you’re going to witness at a baseball game.

Despite being one of the oldest sports of all-time, every baseball game is different. Guys who have been part of the game for a good majority of their lives witness things they’ve never seen before on nightly basis, and that’s one of the best parts about the game.

The 2017 MLB season kicked off on Sunday afternoon, and even though the season is hardly 48 hours old, it’s already been a historic season.

On Sunday, San Francisco Giants pitcher Madison Bumgarner got the season started with a bang.

The historic start to the season continued on Monday as Washington Nationals superstar Bryce Harper hit a home run on Opening Day for the fourth year, and the fifth time in his young career.

The third record was not accomplished by a player, but by the league as a whole. As the rest of the league got their season underway, the Opening Day rosters featured 259 players born outside the United States, a new league-record.

The season has barely even started and it’s already been a historic one. There’s still 161 more games to go and plenty of time for more records to be broken.
